Rental conditions

These Car Rental Conditions are an integral part of the Car Rental Agreement. The Lessee’s signature in the Agreement indicates the acceptance of these terms and conditions and confirms that the Lessee has studied each of the provisions of these terms and conditions governing his relationship with OÜ JUSTRENT, hereinafter referred to as the “Lessor”.

Documents

The Lessee must be at least 21 years old and no older than 80 years and must have a valid driving license and a credit card (or a debit card with credit card functions). The Lessee confirms that the driver’s license is valid and that the right to drive has not been suspended. The same conditions are applied to additional drivers.

Delivery and return of the car

Cars are issued and returned to Siduri 3, Tallinn (Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00; Sat-Sun – by agreement).
In other cases, rental cars are issued and returned by agreement.

Delivery and pick up costs

The cost of car delivery and pick up within the center of Tallinn is 10.- EUR, when renting for 3 days or more - free delivery and pick-up within the city center (including the airport) is provided.

Booking confirmation

The reservation is confirmed if the representative of the rental company has contacted you by email or phone. If the order was placed less than 24 hours before the start of the rental, the availability of the car of the desired class and timely confirmation are not guaranteed. In the absence of the ordered car, the Lessor has the right to replace it with a car of the better or the same class, while maintaining the price in accordance with the order.

Payment for services

Payment for car rental services is made before the start of the rental period in cash, by bank card or transfer. Payment by bank card is made regardless of location (using the mobile payment terminal of the Lessor). When booking, the Lessor has the right to demand an advance payment of 20% of the total rental price, which is not refundable upon cancellation.
The length of the rental day is 24 hours. If the start and the end of the rental time differs by 3 hours, the cost of one day rental is added.

Deposit

When renting a car, a security deposit is required, which is booked on the Lessee’s credit card (or a debit card with credit card functions), depending on the car, starting from 200 euros. The deposit will be used to cover any future damages and/or settlements and will be returned at the end of the rental period. The deposit is usually released within 2-5 business days in the absence of claims from the rent-a-car company.
The Lessor reserves the right to request a larger deposit than usual in exceptional cases.

Vehicle condition

The rental car is transferred to the Lessee with a full tank of fuel, clean and in good repair.
After receiving the car, we recommend that you carefully examine it and demand that all damages (including scratches) are noted in the contract.
The car is returned with a full fuel tank, unless agreed otherwise.
If a dry-cleaner is required when returning the car, a fee of 100 euros will be charged.

Self-Responsibility of the Lessee

The Lessee’s self-responsibility in the event of an accident is 400 euros for passenger cars and 500 euros for minibuses and vans. In the event of a vehicle theft, the Lessee’s responsibility is 15%.

Mileage limit

  • The rental period of 1-10 days includes mileage of up to 250 km per day.
  • The rental period of 11-30 days includes mileage of up to 2500 km.
  • The rental period of more than 30 days includes up to 3,000 km per month.
  • If the limit is exceeded, a surcharge of EUR 0.1 / km is applied.

Field of use

  1. JUSTRENT rental car can be used in Estonia, as well as on the basis of written permission of the Lessor in Europe, with the exception of the CIS countries, Ukraine, Moldova and Russia.
  2. The Lessee shall not use the vehicle in the following cases:
    • for transportation of prohibited and dangerous goods and commodities;
    • for the carriage of passengers for financial gain;
    • for training others to drive, even free of charge;
    • for towing or moving other vehicles;
    • in case of an accident or mechanical failure;
    • in sport events;
    • by people under the influence of medications, alcohol or drugs.
  3. The Lessee is prohibited to transform the vehicle, change its technical equipment, install or remove any parts or accessories, put any inscriptions on it.
  4. The Lessee is obliged to pay for parking, all fines and other penalties imposed during the operation of the car at his own expense. In case of payment of such amounts by the Lessor, the Lessee shall immediately compensate them to the Lessor.
  5. The Lessee ensures the safety of the Car for the entire rental period. The Lessee guarantees that he will not leave the vehicle without first checking that all doors are locked, the windows and the convertible top are closed, the keys are not left in the ignition lock, the passenger compartment or at the door of the vehicle.
  6. At the request of the Lessor, the Lessee shall inform about the location of the Car.

Return of the Car

The Lessee is obliged to return the rental car to the agreed place at the agreed time. If the Lessee does not return the car and the Lessor takes the car himself or buys the car return service, the Lessee is obliged to refund in full the additional costs incurred by JUSTRENT. If the delay in returning the vehicle exceeds 30 minutes, without the consent of JUSTRENT, an additional rental day will be charged to the Lessee. The Lessor has the right to demand double rent for each day that exceeds the rental period.

Other conditions

JUSTRENT has the right to refuse to rent a vehicle and terminate the Contract if suspects that the Lessee or another driver doesn’t use the vehicle in an appropriate way.
